For So Jaded Arts, we undertook the technical development and implementation of their new portfolio website. The client provided a beautiful and distinct design, and our role was to bring this vision to life with a robust and maintainable technical solution.
Our key responsibilities and achievements on this project included:
- Pixel-Perfect Design Implementation: We translated the client's detailed design mockups into a fully functional and responsive website, ensuring faithful execution across all visual aspects using Next.js and React with Emotion for styling.
- Headless CMS Integration (Strapi): We architected and integrated Strapi as the headless CMS. This empowers So Jaded Arts to independently manage all website content, including:
- Artwork listings across various categories (Acrylic, Digital, Ink, Watercolour).
- The 'What's New' section for updates and blog-like entries.
- Information on the 'Commissions' and 'About' pages.
- Frontend Development with Next.js: We leveraged the power of Next.js for server-side rendering and static generation, ensuring optimal performance, SEO-friendliness, and a smooth user experience.
- External Shop Integration: We seamlessly linked the website's 'Shop' section to the artist's existing Etsy store for e-commerce functionality.
- Responsive Development: The website was built to be fully responsive, providing an excellent viewing experience on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Commission Inquiry Form: We implemented a functional contact form for commission inquiries, directly connecting potential clients with the artist.
We focused on delivering a technically sound, performant, and easily manageable website that beautifully showcases the artist's work as per their design specifications.
